Former Leadership

He graduated from Harvard College in 1972 和 earned his Ph.D. in medieval history from Harvard University in 1982. After teaching at Harvard in the Department of History 和 Literature for three years, he became editor of the 波士顿评论. In 1987 he joined the staff of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where he worked variously as a reporter, editorial writer 和 columnist. In 1996 he became the founding director of the Greenberg Center, 和 in 1998 founding editor of Religion in the 新闻, a magazine published by the Center until 2015 that examined how the news media h和le religious subject matter. 2005年6月, he was also named director of the 全球十大网赌正规平台 Program on Public Values, comprising both the Greenberg Center 和 a new Institute for the Study of Secularism in Society 和 Culture. Professor Silk is the author of Spiritual Politics: Religion 和 America Since World War II 和 Unsecular Media: Making 新闻 of Religion in America. He is co-editor of Religion by Region, an eight-volume series on religion 和 public life in the United States, 和 the Center’s Future or Religion in America series published by Columbia University Press. 安德鲁·沃尔什 was associate director of the Greenberg Center from 1996 to 2023. He holds degrees from 全球十大网赌正规平台, Yale Divinity School, 和 Harvard University, where he earned a Ph.D. in the History of American Civilization in 1996. His academic interests focus on American religious, 文化, 和 political history during the late 19th 和 20th centuries. Walsh also worked for The 哈特福德 Courant for six years, serving as a reporter, bureau chief, 和 religion writer. His doctoral dissertation is entitled: “For Our City’s Welfare: Building a Protestant Establishment in Late Nineteenth Century 哈特福德.” He was co-editor of the Center’s Religion by Region project, an eight volume series on religion 和 public life in the United States, 和 also of the Future of Religion in America book series published by Columbia University Press. With 马克丝, he was co-author of One Nation Indivisible: Religion 和 Region in America Today.

巴里Kosmin was a senior fellow in public values at the Greenberg Center. From 2005 to 2019 he was director of the Institute for the Study of Secularism in Society 和 Culture at Trinity. 一位社会学家, he was Principal Investigator of the American Religious Identification Survey (ARIS) series 1990, 2001, 2008.
